saw half of the ladies fall in the air,

in the glare, & it’s fair sorts as do

in that order & it’s rarely in twos,

just in care, & you do as you dare

look & see if they’re there,

paired by threes in the breezes

& papery swings of trapeze,

only these o’er the seas & the sides

of the sail they may ride in the air,

of the currents of ocean or rill

from the hillside & mountain, that e’er
