men could wear mittens
to sleep with a scorpion
while the room rattles
the earth may tremble
regardless a train whistle
North in a small hole
a tunnell’d canyon
parallel to a sunset
six itchy fingers

i haven’t been able to figure it out. the cheap waterheaters here allow for only ten minutes of a hot shower before it runs cold. so doesn’t make sense — a true mystery. glad the train is gentle (am thinking of this one i love lucy episode)
