Thank you, William, in reality, to witness a swan whenever,
I’m struck dumb & remain so till it’s gone; however, I set
out within this poem to rhyme what is said to be one of six
impossible English words: this one, monarch. Three of the
others in recent attempt: breadth, desert, circle. Two to go.
Love your breadth, William.
You must look back, William, I’m done now;
and should rather concur & pursue one thing new.
You’ll find them from 1/2.5 to &…
beside those I’ve told before: really 3,
wisdom, month & orange.
Month and breadth, maybe again.
Reminded me of the myth of the mute swan/ swan song.
